March madness

Hi there

Well, it's nearly the end of march and we're proving that we really are no good at keeping up with blogging. Without making any excuses, we have been very busy with new bookings, bridal fairs, devising new acts, taking on new singers, looking for staff in the office and setting up Elegant Entertainment agency (watch this space). Not to mention the countless functions where we have been providing the entertainment.

I hope that you will have seen our regular newsletter which have been really exciting with updates of how and what we have been up to, pictures, videos and interviews.

Without sounding smug, we are really proud of what we have achieved at Elegant Entertainment over the last 2 years since we came into existence, especially when you consider the financial downturn which has affected everyone. Thank you to everyone who we have met on this wonderful journey, you have all helped to make us what we are.

See you all soon.

2010

Well, here it is, 2010!

Can you actually believe that we have begun the exciting journey of not just another year, but another decade. Time certainly moves on very quickly and when you think back to what you were doing 10 years ago when we began the 21st century, it's frightening to think how much has taken place in this time.

This time 10 years ago I was touring the UK as The Baker in Bill Kenwrights tour of Joseph and the technicolour dreamcoat. It seems an age ago, I was young, free and single enjoying the life of an actor on the road with plenty of theatrical stories to share. The noughties were by far the most enjoyable decade I have experienced. There are many stories I would love to share with you, but the best are when I met my Beautiful wife and the birth of my 2 Beautiful children.

But what are we actually calling the new decade? The Teenies? The Tennies? The Tensies? Well, there has been plenty of debate and no one seems to agree, so only time will tell. One thing is for sure though, the next 10 years are going to be amazingly interesting, with the world changing faster with every blink of the eyelid. It is certainly an exciting time for us and let's hope that it's a memorable one for us all together.

So, on behalf of everyone at Elegant Entertainment, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our clients past and present, future clients, our loyal fans and anyone who happens to stumble upon this blog a happy, healthy, successful and memorable decade and may you call it whatever you wish.

Be Lucky

new and improved website

I hope you are all enjoying our new and improved website. Thanks to Ray Rehman and team at Computer and Network Services we are delighted with the end result.

You will notice that we have added a few acts to our existing portfolio, with more to be added over the coming weeks. We have some very exiting bands and string quartets, which compliment what we already have to offer. So keep your eyes peeled for the additions.

You will notice that we haven't blogged for a while now. Well, I can only tell you that we have been incredibly busy over the summer months with the amount of weddings we have been performing at. It used to be that weddings would take place over the weekend, but this year we have performed at weddings up and down the country on every day of the week.

The Victoria Cup at Ascot Racecourse

Tomorrow is a very special day.

Il Voci Celesti will be performing at Ascot Racecourse at The Victoria Cup and 3rd Annual Wine festival sponsored by Hardy's.

It is sure to be an amazing day, with an exciting full day's racing and lots of nice wine to be tasted, our performance begins after the last day's race when we will be performing to the 22,000 expected crowd, celebrating the launch of this year's 'Royal Ascot Cocktail'.

The start of a glorious summer is finally here and for all of you who have booked us to perform one of our surprise acts at your wedding up and down the country and the overseas ones, we cannot wait to see you and your guests amazed faces on you or you loved ones special day.

As for our other acts, tomorrow will be the first of many outdoor performances at various different sporting and social occasions over the warm summer months.

We are about to announce a very special working relationship with Blitz Fireworks, who we will be working with more closely. It could be the start of an Explosive relationship!

What a summer it could be, especially after the Fantastic result at Lord's today, with the twenty20 World cup and the Ashes to follow, I look forward to seeing you all there.

Special Offers

Hi there

I cannot believe how quickly the weeks fly by. Is it really almost the end of April?

This year seems to have passed us by, we have been so busy. None more so than the last couple of weeks, following the Showcase at Leicester Square Theatre and the Wedding fair down in Kent on Sunday, we have been ridiculously busy. It has also been very nice to have been able to look out of the window and see the Beautiful sunshine, lifting everyone's spirits.

We seem to have hit the right note with our perspective clients in the last month with our special Offers and it has been nice chatting with you all and we look forward to seeing you and performing for you and your guests. I can't believe we are booking for 2011!

We have a very busy time ahead with lots of travelling, As well as clocking up the miles in the car, we will be seeing the insides of quite a few airports in the coming weeks.

As for this weekend we look forward to seeing you all in Shropshire and Cheshire.

Have a great weekend.

Leicester Square Theatre

We had an amazing night last night at Leicester square Theatre, where our invited audience enjoyed watching 'Leading Ladies' and 'Il Voci Celesti'.

We arranged the evening to showcase these two acts to an invited audience made up of Events Companies, Music Management Companies and various representatives from High Profile venues. All of the people invited had expressed an interest in booking our acts and were very keen to see them in the flesh.

It was a really successful evening and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the entertainment. It was nice to put many names to faces and have a good chinwag over a glass of wine. Thank you to everyone who came, we really enjoyed your company.

Craig added some new arrangements for both acts and I have to say, they were Incredible. One of the arrangements was an Andrew Lloyd Webber Medley performed by Jennifer Tierney. Jenny has THE most amazing voice I have ever heard in my entire life. belting out Four F's on the trot. If you are not familiar with Musical terms, all you need to know is that, it is bloody high!
She is currently in rehearsels for 'Wicked' which is being performed at The Victoria Apollo. I will be going to see her in it.

Joining her last night were Lisa Donmall, it would be easier to list the west end shows that she hasn't starred in, having just performed in her one woman show at the same venue a couple of days earlier, she was stunning! Caroline Deverill makes up the trio, you can see for yourself on our promotional video that she is Beautiful with a Great Rock Voice.

Myself and Craig were joined by Jon Hawkins, who has just played Sky on The International Tour of Mamma Mia. He managed to attract alot of attention to himself with his boyish good looks and charming persona and a lovely, lovely voice. The three of us had great fun and even got all of the choreography right.

I hope that you are all well and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everybody!!
Well, despite the Financial meltdown and general scare mongering, life is good!
2009 will be a very good year.
The end of 2008 was incredibly busy, we hardly had time to take breath. With Craig's Musical 'Lift' making it's debut in London, our trip to South Africa, winter weddings and Christmas Parties, we met some Brilliant People and had a Great time. The highlights of which were lifting the Rugby Union World Cup in Cape Town at The Newlands Stadium and performing for one of my sporting Heroes, Matthew Hoggard, at his testimonial Dinner. For those of you who don't know him, he is the Yorkshire and England Cricketer. We had a great night with him and his guests and it was a very late one. We ended up in a nightclub in Leeds. I have not been in a nightclub for years, it was a lot of fun.

As you can imagine, Christmas was a very nice break for all concerned, and yes, we managed to eat and drink far too much like everybody. It's back to the gym to try and burn off a few calories.

Keep an eye on our website, as there will be a few additions in the coming few weeks, with new pictures, videos . . .
